Military Fire Training for Fire Service Instructor II/III TrainingThis is a contract program only!
This program exceeds the State of Indiana requirements for IFSAC certification which can then be exchanged for DOD requirements. Since training is an essential factor in efficient fire fighting and is dependent upon well-prepared instructors, Fire Service Instructor training becomes a very important responsibility of a fire department. The material contained in this course provides the information called for by the Indiana Board of Personnel Standards and Education and complies with Indiana Fire Instructor II/III and IFSAC ratings as NFPA Instructor III under NFPA Standard 1041(2002). For all non-Indiana firefighters, this course will provide the necessary material for national certification under IFSAC Standards. All material in the student manual will be covered and the requirements of the NFPA 1041 Standard shall be met or exceeded. This course will require the student to do a homework project including written course objectives, teaching outlines, construction of a written and oral exam, establish audio/visuals, tests analysis and report and record construction. The project will be due upon completion of the lecture portion of the class. All students must take the written exam and complete with a pass/fail rate of 70%. Local, state and military authorities set pre-requisites. National Certification exams and practical objectives are handled through the Indiana Board of Firefighter Personnel Standards and Education.
